Principal activities of the company

appoint and, if necessary, remove Members and GDET appointed directors to MATs within the Diocese which include church schools ensure oversight, as a corporate Member, of the governance of academy boards, challenging where necessary, by equipping and training GDET appointed Members for their role ensure the Christian character of the church academies within each trust is promoted Responsibility for academy strategy and the review of applications from individual church schools to convert to academy status is held by the Executive Committee of the Diocesan Board of Education

For the year ending 31 December 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.
