2024 saw recruitment of a new Kindergarten Lead to drive our vision for action research innovations in early childhood and increase family signups. We were successful in: - Increasing family signups to our early childhood outdoor programmes - Increasing our turnover and impact - Making key hires that align with our strategy and vision of an early childhood innovation hub - Seeking partners for potential new kindergarten sites Nature Nurtures Early Years CIC provides nature-based projects for families with children, including Ofsted-registered outdoor early education and care. In 2024 we had the following activities and impact: - Increased our family club membership signups - Worked in partnership with the University of Worcester to deliver a Family Festival, which has led to further partnership working with the university - Hired a new Kindergarten Lead, who will make significant progress in scaling our early childhood education places - Provided 8 community events for our families and children - Facilitated 12 events for fathers and their children - Donated outdoor clothing to families in need - Provided more than 250 free hot lunches and breakfasts to children in need and families with a low income - Together with Nurture Families, delivered Art at the Start and PACE training to all team members - Provided quality early childhood education and care to more than 50 children - Provided support to parents of children with additional needs via one to one meetings, special transition to school programme and family support plans - Provided 30 holiday club places As a result of this work more children have benefitted from our innovative early childhood education and care programme. More families experienced our unique 8-family promise, working closely with their Nurture Partner – an approach that centres children’s experience with us at Nurture Outdoor Kindergarten.
We are an impact-led organisation and place the young child and their parent/carer at the heart of everything we do. We cover a varied geographical area, with stakeholders being residents of Worcestershire and Herefordshire. We work together with our communities to develop and refine our programmes. We continue to conduct parent interviews and work closely with our Local Authority to ensure we are meeting local needs. We also use regular supervision with our staff, and conduct questionnaires with staff and parents. We value excellent and responsive care and support for our families so we: - Have regular community events for our families, including monthly and seasonal events where we share food and drink together - Connect with the local early childhood workforce, including facilitating training events in con-junction with Nurture Families CIC - Undertake regular reviews of our services, inviting direct feedback from stakeholders
