| Basis of preparing the financial statements |
| Preparation of consolidated financial statements |
| The financial statements contain information about Brad-Chem Holdings Limited as an individual company and do not contain consolidated financial information as the parent of a group. The company is exempt under Section 399(2A) of the Companies Act 2006 from the requirements to prepare consolidated financial statements. |
| Investments in subsidiaries |
| Investments in subsidiary undertakings are recognised at cost. |
| Taxation |
| Taxation for the period comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
| Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
| Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |
| Deferred tax |
| Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date. |
| Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the period end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference. |
| Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits. |
| Prior year adjustment |
| The financial statements for the year ended 30 September 2023 have been revised. |

| - are prepared as they were at the date of the original financial statements and not as at the date of the revision and accordingly do not deal with the events between those dates. |
| The original accounts did not include all dividends received, some were mistakenly treated as a loan. |
| Correct disclosure has now been made and there is no impact on corporation tax. |

| Included in creditors in prior years were secured loan notes due to Mrs A F Brady. |
| With effect from 22 November 2017 there was a Fixed charge over all estates or interests in any freehold or leasehold property belonging to the company now or at any time after the date of the debenture, Fixed charge over all patents, patent applications, trade marks and trade mark applications. |
| The charge contained a floating charge covering all the property or undertaking of the company and contained a negative pledge. |
| The above charge was satisfied on 30 January 2025. |
| 9. | FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS |
| Included in creditors over one year are redeemable preference shares. |
| The company may at any time after 12 months following the adoption date give written notice to redeem all or any part of the preference shares on a date to be determined by the Board. |
| 10. | RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES |
| Included in Other debtors is an amount due from the director, Mr C E Brady of £93,373. This was repaid on 1 February 2025. |
| 11. | ULTIMATE CONTROLLING PARTY |
| On the balance sheet date the Company was ultimately controlled by the Trustees of The Christopher Edward Brady Trust. |
| On 4 February 2025, the shares of Brad-Chem Holdings Limited were sold to Univar Solutions UK Holdco Limited (a company registered in England and Wales). The Company's ultimate parent company is Windsor Holdings One, Inc., a company incorporated in Delaware, USA, whilst the Company's ultimate controlling party is an affiliate of funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc. |
