MindForward Alliance works to improve workplace mental health globally by partnering with employers through membership programmes, consultancy, training, workplace assessments, research, and the sharing of best practice. We also provide a wide range of free resources, events, and campaigns to encourage more organisations to take action. Our work extends internationally, with long-standing Alliances in Hong Kong and Australia. In 2024, our main activities and achievements included: Global Summit: Brought together 70 experts and businesses from 32 countries. Discussions focused on pressing issues such as the role of AI in mental health, how to better support line managers, and challenges faced by people in the early stages of their careers. Events: Hosted 20 workplace mental health events across the world for our members. These sessions tackled topics including managing wellbeing across different generations, and strategies for improving employee engagement with wellbeing resources. Training: Offered 13 different workplace courses, covering areas such as suicide awareness, neurodiversity, and people manager development. In total, 672 individuals completed our programmes during the year, increasing the skills and confidence of those responsible for supporting workplace wellbeing. Resources: In partnership with Oxford University, we launched a new free workplace wellbeing guide in October. By the end of the year it had been downloaded over 700 times, providing practical tools for organisations at no cost. Leadership Pledge: More than 200 businesses from 15 countries signed our Leadership Pledge, making a public commitment to prioritise mental health in the workplace. Countries represented include India, the UK, Singapore, South Africa, Australia, Germany, Kenya and others. To support these organisations we provide ongoing access to research, data, and good practice resources. Young Professionals: Through our Thriving From The Start Network, we continued to provide a dedicated space for young professionals to access free resources and events. In 2024, over 480 young people attended one of our events, which focused on managing challenges such as imposter syndrome. Research: Commissioned one of the largest global studies on workplace mental health, engaging more than 12,200 employees across 12 countries and multiple industries. This resulted in a global report as well as 12 country-level reports, giving businesses practical insights into employee experiences and needs.
MindForward Alliance has members made up of businesses in the financial, professional, legal and technology sectors. MindForward Alliance also has a Board made up of senior business leaders. In terms of the Board, it would be consulted formerly at face-to-face meetings on a quarterly basis and monthly at informal meetings. In terms of members, we will consult them on questions that relate to everything from what topics should be focused on in the membership programme. The entire of MindForward Alliance’s programme has been informed by giving every member at least three opportunities of the course of the year to speak to us face-to-face / virtual meeting about what are the workplace mental health challenges that they need to solve and what support they need. This information informs all our activity, including resources that we create to the regions that we operate in.
