For the year ended 31 December 2024, due to the ill health of the Director, the company did not commence building activities until May 2024. As a result, the company’s turnover was much reduced by comparison to the previous year leading to the operating loss of £24,829.00. The first half of 2025 has shown signs of improvement in turnover and gross margin although the landscape for construction services within the domestic housebuilding sector continue to remain challenging. The uncertainty in the economic environment has made it difficult to guarantee continuity of work throughout a twelve month period and the Director has therefore widened his net of contacts to try to negate this problem in the future.
The director is under no illusion that the loss for the year, when added to the historical losses incurred by the company, puts considerable financial strain on the business and therefore casts doubt over its ability to continue as a going concern. However, with the measures in place to attract new business whilst still retaining a healthy margin and the support of the director, who is also a shareholder, the Accounts have been prepared on a going concern basis.
