This year we had another successful run, with more children attending and an increase in support for our additional needs beneficiaries. - Summer Holiday Club for 4 weeks: During this year we ran our holiday Club out of a central location, The Pickle Factory, based in Easton. Each day the children were provided with a morning snack, home-cooked hot lunch and end of day healthy snack. With a host of craft and outdoor activities, as well as a outside facilitator delivering a workshop each day (Virtual reality, graphic design, film making) the children were really nourished with new opportunities and fun. As well as this we arranged for a trip to the Mendip activity centre spanning over 3 days where the children experienced a range of outdoor activities: canoeing, kayaking, tobogganing, assault courses. - October Half-term for 1 week: During this half term we ran another half term club at the same location of The Pickle Factory. We continued the same model that has really been working for us. Hosting a range of craft activities and outdoor sports, coupled with 1 external workshop facilitated session each day.
