Positive Action Cymru CIC has been working in communities across Southwest Wales with our small team of volunteers helping our eneficiaries move forward with their lives. We have focused on small scale engagement activity days, training days, workshops and peer mentoring along with supplying cost of living support packs. Peer Support for veterans and those dealing with gambling related harm continues alongside our listening line and we have trained new volunteers to help us support anyone struggling with mental health during this current cost of living crisis via our welfare packs, form filling, support with referrals for specialist counselling. The past year has been centred on working on grassroot activity, developing training infrastructure such as our digital training platform, developing new training & learning resources, compliance and accreditations and onsite outdoor training delivery spaces.
Positive Action Cymru CIC continues to talk with our service users, volunteers and the wider community to further identify new or emerging needs in our service provisions. We do not want to duplicate services but fill gaps in provision. We use simple surveys and feedback forms and then discuss feedback we gather with our focus groups made up of service users and volunteers to ensure we understood the needs to ensure our future projects in 2025 are fit for purpose. Positive Action Cymru CIC has received referrals from other CICs operating in Wales, self referrals and referrals from charities who have direct links working with community beneficiaries in Swansea, Neath, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
