Company activities and impact

Harry’s overall vision is to create safe and inclusive spaces for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, to find purpose, meaning and value in their lives and to promote a healthy lifestyle. At Harry’s, Mates will learn essential life skills, gain confidence, meet like-minded people and to participate fully in all aspects of society. Our services continue to see growth in the learning disability and autism sector. We continue to pull new members from Ballynahinch and the surrounding areas on a regular basis. Our two training cafes – Harry’s at the Market House in Ballynahinch and Harry’s at 387 Ormeau Road, Belfast, prove to be popular work placements for our Mates (service users). Those involved are being trained in catering and hospitality and will acquire the relevant skills and experience to work across the industry. Some have already secured paid employment within the organisation.
