Basis of preparing the financial statements
Going Concern
The directors have decided to wind up the company once all debts have been collected and liabilities settled.
Significant judgements and estimates
Preparing of the financial statements may require the directors to make significant judgements, estimates and assumptions that affect the amounts reported. These estimates and judgements are continually reviewed and are based on experience and other factors, including expectations of future events that are believed to be reasonable under the circumstances.
The directors have made key assumptions in the determination of the fair value of the investment property in respect of the state of the property market in the location where the property is situated and in respect of the range of reasonable fair value estimates of the asset.
Turnover
Turnover represents rents receivable from investment property and related management income
Investment property
Investment properties are properties held to earn rentals and/or for capital appreciation. Investment properties are initially measured at cost, including transaction costs.
Subsequently investment properties whose fair value can be measured reliably on an on-going basis are measured at fair value. Gains and losses arising from changes in the fair value of investment properties are included in profit or loss in the period in which they arise.
Investment properties whose fair value cannot be measured reliably are included in plant, property and equipment at cost less accumulated depreciation and accumulated impairment losses.
Financial instruments
The following assets and liabilities are classified as financial instruments - trade debtors, trade creditors and directors' loans.
Directors' loans (being repayable on demand), trade debtors and trade creditors are measured at the undiscounted amount of the cash or other consideration expected to be paid or received.
Financial assets that are measured at amortised cost are assessed at the end of each reporting period for objective evidence of impairment. If objective evidence of impairment is found, an impairment loss is recognised in the Statement of Income and Retained Earnings.
