| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
| Basis of preparing the financial statements |
| Turnover |
| Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. |
| Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods have passed to the buyer on dispatch of the goods, the amount of turnover can be measured reliably, it is probable that the economic benefits associated with the transaction will flow to the entity and the costs incurred or to be incurred in respect of the transaction can be measured reliably. |
| Turnover received relating to maintenance contracts is spread over the effective period covered by those contracts, after a portion of the income has been allocated against the cost of obtaining the contract. |
| Warranty income |
| Warranty income is deferred and recognised in turnover over the period of the warranty, on a straight-line basis. |
| Intangible assets |
| Intangible assets are initially measured at cost and subsequently measured at cost less accumulated amortisation and impairment losses. |
| Amortisation is recognised so as to write off the cost or valuation of assets less their residual values over their useful lives on the following bases: |

| Inventories |
| Inventories are stated at the lower of cost and estimated selling price less costs to complete and sell. |
| Inventories held for distribution at no or nominal consideration are measured at the lower of replacement cost |
| and cost, adjusted where applicable for any loss of service potential. |
| At each reporting date, an assessment is made for impairment. Any excess of the carrying amount of inventories over its estimated selling price less costs to complete and sell is recognised as an impairment loss in profit or loss. Reversals of impairment losses are also recognised in profit or loss. |
| Financial instruments |
| Financial instruments are classified by the directors as basic or advanced following the conditions in FRS 102 section 11. Basic financial instruments are recognised at amortised cost using the effective interest method unless the effect of discounting would be immaterial, in which case they are stated at cost. The company has no non-basic financial instruments. |
| Basic financial assets |
| Basic financial assets, which include trade and other receivables and bank balances, are initially measured at transaction price including transaction costs and are subsequently carried at amortised cost using the effective interest method unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where the transaction is measured at the present value of the future receipts discounted at a market rate of interest. Financial assets classified as receivable within one year are not amortised. |
| Basic financial liabilities |
| Basic financial liabilities, including trade and other payables and loans from fellow group companies, are initially recognised at transaction price unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where the debt instrument is measured at the present value of the future payments discounted at a market rate of interest. Financial liabilities classified as payable within one year are not amortised. |
| Equity instruments |
| Equity instruments issued by the company are recorded at the proceeds received, net of transaction costs. Dividends payable on equity instruments are recognised as liabilities once they are no longer at the discretion of the company. |
| Taxation |
| Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Statement of Income and Retained Earnings, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
| Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
| Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |
| Deferred tax |
| Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date. |
| Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference. |
| Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits. |

| Hire purchase and leasing commitments |
| Rentals paid under operating leases are charged to profit or loss on a straight line basis over the period of the lease. |
| Leases are classified as finance leases whenever the terms of the lease transfer substantially all the risks and rewards of ownership to the lessees. All other leases are classified as operating leases. |
| Assets held under finance leases are recognised as assets at the lower of the assets fair value at the date of inception and the present value of the minimum lease payments. The related liability is included in the statement of financial position as a finance lease obligation. Lease payments are treated as consisting of capital and interest elements. The interest is charged to profit or loss so as to produce a constant periodic rate of interest on the remaining balance of the liability. |
| Lessor accounting |
| Rental income from operating leases is recognised on a straight line basis over the term of the relevant lease. Initial direct costs incurred in negotiating and arranging an operating lease are added to the carrying amount of the leased asset and recognised on a straight line basis over the lease term. |
| Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits |
| The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate. |
| Employee benefits |
| The costs of short-term employee benefits are recognised as a liability and an expense. The cost of any unused holiday entitlement is recognised in the period in which the employee's services are received. |
| Cash and cash equivalents |
| Cash and cash equivalents are basic financial assets and include deposits held at call with banks. |
| Change in Accounting policy |
| During the year, the company reviewed its cost classification policy and reclassified certain costs previously included within overheads as direct costs. This change better reflects the nature and allocation of costs directly attributable to production. The reclassification has no impact on profit for the year but affects the presentation within the cost of sales and administrative expenses. |
| The prior year has been restated and the effect of this on profit for the year is nil. |

| During the accounting period advances were made to a shareholder of the parent company totalling £50,000 (2024: £Nil). Repayments of £50,000 (2024: £Nil) were made by the shareholder during the period. Interest on the advances was charged at 6% and the advances were repayable on demand.Total interest charged during the period was £514 (2024: £Nil). No advances remained outstanding at the balance sheet date. |
