The EPIC project is a not for profit making organisation the principal act being to provide HAF programme within the West Midlands. Encouraging a healthy lifestyle for pupils from a disadvantaged background to take part in physical and fun activities during school holidays including the provision of a healthy meal. During the financial year to 31.12.24 the CIC’s activities have benefited the community by providing a 1 week programme Christmas 23, 1 week programme at Easter and 4 week programme during summer holiday for children within Walsall. The and if the programme for the children who attended are to: East healthily over the school holidays Be active during the school holidays Be safe and not to be socially isolated Food for the programme was sourced locally using local businesses. The programme provided part time employment for several people in the local area supporting our local community
The company’s stakeholders were the parents and their children who were aged between 5 to 16 and eligible for benefit related free school meals in Walsall. All children attending the HAF programme and their parent/guardian were asked to complete a short questionnaire asking their opinion of the service provided and any suggestions for improvement for future programmes. Staff working on the project were also encouraged to provide their feedback which were taken into account when planning future programmes.
