Company activities and impact

The Company ran various meets based in the outdoors including walks and sea dips often followed by visits to a local cafe to encourage making connections. Sadly our workshops came to an end in February due lack of interest to make it feasible and we are now seeking to close the company

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders are residents of North Devon and Torridge constituencies. The directors of the company have lived in the areas for a number of years and developed the business model for the company based on their experiences and knowledge of the area and its residents. We put out an anonymous short questionnaire to residents of North Devon via various social media channels about their experience of isolation/loneliness and their thoughts on what we were planning to do. This has helped us to build up a profile of our stakeholders needs/wishes and what we can do to meet them more effectively. Our research has enabled us to identify that there are people of all age groups who have experienced feelings of isolation and loneliness who felt an organisation to provide social meets who benefit them.
