During the financial year, Arise Fellowship Christian Church its objectives of advancing the Christian faith, supporting the community, and providing practical help to those in need Some of the key activities carried out included: Feeding and providing clothing for the homeless: The church organised regular foo distributions where hot meals were served and clothing was provided to individuals experiencing homelessness. In come cases, short-term shelter arrangements were facilitated, helping vulnerable people feel safe and supported. Culture Day - Celebrating diversity in the community: A community-wide cultural celebration was held, where people from different backgrounds brought traditional food and shared aspects of their culture. This event created an opportunity for fellowship, breaking down barriers, building friendships, and promoting unity across the community. Children's hair-braiding project: To support families practically, the church organised a program where volunteers braided children's hair at no cost. While the children were being cared for, parents had the chance to relax, enjoy tea, and socialise with one another. This initiative not only provided relief to parents but also encouraged community bonding and mutual support. Visiting the sick and shut-in: Members of the church regularly visited individuals who were ill or housebound, offering prayer, companionship, and encouragement. Practical gifts such as groceries, personal care items, and other essentials were also provided. These visits offered both emotional and physical relief to those in vulnerable situations, demonstrating care and compassion in action. Through these activities, Arise fellowship Christian Church made a tangible difference in people's lives by meeting both spiritual and practical needs, strengthening community ties, and relieving hardship in meaningful ways.
Stakeholders: Congregation Members - The people who regularly attend services and participate in church activities. Parents of Children in church Programs - Families whose children attend Sunday school or other church activities. Practical Consultation: Feedback via WhatsApp Groups and Direct Communication - Create dedicated WhatsApp groups for congregation members and parents to share ideas, suggestions, or concerns regarding church activities. Stakeholders can also reach out directly via WhatsApp for questions, feedback, or to volunteer, ensuring quick and informal communication. After church focus sessions - small discussion session with church members to share their needs (e.g. more youth activities, family support, financial literacy workshops).
