Over the past financial year, Blue on the Hill CIC has established itself as a vibrant community hub for contemporary art and dialogue. We hosted 20 exhibitions alongside a series of public events, including a partnership with the Highgate Festival, which brought new audiences into the gallery. A key focus of our programme has been accessibility and support for underrepresented voices. We provided free or subsidised exhibition space to marginalised artists, enabling them to showcase their work in a professional setting and engage directly with the local community. Through this activity, Blue on the Hill has built a strong profile within the area, offering opportunities to a diverse group of artists while fostering connections, creativity, and critical discourse. Our commitment to inclusivity and community engagement has ensured that the gallery remains not only a platform for artistic expression but also a welcoming space for cultural exchange. We have also delivered a range of events and workshops designed to encourage local community participation, creating opportunities for people to engage with art in accessible and meaningful ways. In addition, we have supported a local women’s community group, HAG, providing space and resources for them to meet, share, and develop their activities.
