Ding Cic has highlighted the attractions of Cardiff to visitors across the globe. We have been at pains to promote and recommend local independent businesses and used local suppliers as much as possible. We have told people from far and wide details of Cardiff's multi-cultural history, right up to the present day, emphasising how those communities have, for the most part, worked side by side. We have taken refugees and international students on our tours, for no fee, as a way of helping them learn about their new homes and enabling them to integrate. Our guides have also helped people recovering from health issues, as part of their recuperation. Hundreds of people from more than 50 countries have joined us on our tours, leading to more 98 per cent 5 star reviews online. Many have said the local experience and knowledge of the guides outshone any other tours they have been on elsewhere. On every tour, we discuss Cardiff's languages and give visitors an easy lesson in counting in Welsh, along with a few key phrases. And, of course promoting sustainable and active travel is at the heart of what we do.
We consult regularly with the venues included on our tours, for instance checking with Llandaff Cathedral, Insole Court and the Norwegian Church if our tours coincide with any events. We often take detours to allow for that. On each tour, we check with guests if they have particular interests that we might include. If some have already visited a location, we might amend the route accordingly. We ensure the pace and comfort of each tour meets the requirements of the participants. One group bookings, we liaise thoroughly with the co-ordinator. And we keep a constant check on our reviews to see if any lessons can be learned to improve the experience.
