Company activities and impact

Let's Face Change have focused on exploring how psychology and wider mental health services can build more culturally sensitive services. We also had a number of workshops thinking about how we can best respond to racism and address racial inequalities in mental health services and the wider world. The conference stimulated conversations about how build more culturally sensitive approaches to mental health including; ways we can respond to racism and try to address racial inequalities in psychology and wider mental health services; how to break down barriers to mental health services and psychology that exist for people from different cultural backgrounds by changing how we work; working with people from different backgrounds, cultures and belief systems, to build more understanding and also celebrate cultural diversity. We collaborated with different organisations in the community to put on several workshops throughout the day. - Over 150 people attended our annual conference on 2024. - Consultation for Manchester CTR-U to inform culturally research and diversity of participants - University of Liverpool Clinical Psychology Doctorate training - University of Manchester Clinical Psychology Doctorate training - Webinar by Bianca Vekaria – “Why doesn’t my supervisor talk to me about race”

Consultation with stakeholders

We have consulted with conference participants to sought feedback and request completion of evaluation forms, around the the various content including workshops and plays, this helped us shape webinars and training for future events. We are also open to having requests on our website for consultation and feedback to benefit the community. We have also received feedback about our webinar topics, further possible areas of need for learning and development, which we have honoured and put on webinars in the interest of diverse communities.
