During the financial year, AWANetwork became incorporated for business in February 2024 however activities started much later and is short time the company has contributed positively to the community by promoting creative education, entrepreneurship, and cultural engagement. Through its animation and visual storytelling activities, the company has supported small businesses and non-profit organisations to communicate their messages more effectively, improving their visibility and community impact. AWANetwork has also extended its work into community and educational settings, going into schools to teach animation and story telling, providing creative workshops and opportunities for young people to learn about digital animation and visual communication. These activities have encouraged skills development, confidence, and career awareness in creative media fields. In addition, AWANetwork has collaborated with local events and cultural initiatives, such as The African Animated Shorts Experience - UK (TAASE), to showcase diverse creative voices and strengthen cultural exchange within the community. Overall, the company’s activities have fostered inclusion, creative learning, and local economic participation through the use of animation as a tool for empowerment and storytelling. In addition, there has been a few non-profit support for business through creative designs and assistance offered as a social responsibility.
During the financial year, AWANetwork engaged with a range of stakeholders, including small business clients, non-profit partners, community participants, and creative collaborators involved in its educational and cultural programmes. Some of these are Dartford Arts Network, Dartford Council, Grace Outreach Church, Primal Runners, Healthy Living Centre. Consultation took place through direct project feedback sessions, informal discussions, and community event evaluations, particularly following activities under The African Animated Shorts Experience (TAASE) initiative. We asked people who attended the events to fill in a short questionnaire about where they hope to see this go next. Feedback received highlighted the value of accessible creative training and the need for affordable promotional content for small organisations. In response, AWANetwork has refined its service packages and community engagement model to better support SMEs and non-profits, while continuing to strengthen partnerships that promote creative education and inclusion.
