Company activities and impact

Wunderbar creates projects conceived by artists and made by people. As an organisation we create a mix of artistic performances, interactions, happenings, social events and games, across all types of places to reach all types of people. The financial year 2024-2025 was a continued year of reflection and a fallow year. Part way through the year, the directors agreed to bring in new directors, and to hand over day-to-day running via a considered handover phase to Gillie Kleiman, with Ilana Mitchell stepping back from this role. The handover began taking place this year and will continue into next year. This will include developing fundraising strategies to continue our work, with an intended renewed focus on supporting artists based in the North East region, as well considerations about archiving and legacy for our previous work.

Consultation with stakeholders

The primary stakeholders of Wunderbar are all of its audiences, artists and participants plus our network of peers. We did not host any public events this year. New work is a focus for our new leadership that will look to the legacy and future.

Directors' remuneration

Full details are in the accounts. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
