This year marked the first year of operation for Musolistic CIC. We have been focused on building strong foundations through networking and partnership development, which is ongoing. Our work so far has supported young aspiring adult musicians and artists with learning difficulties and complex mental health conditions such as PTSD. Through free workshops in the Coventry area, we have provided opportunities in conventional arts/digital arts and music, alongside providing counselling spaces to explore personal challenges. These activities have helped participants to develop their artistry, build confidence, strengthen autonomy, and cultivate resilience in overcoming difficult life situations. A portfolio of their works will be the eventual outcome. Despite challenges in securing a venue, we successfully partnered with Aspire Family Hub and, more recently, YMCA, enabling us to deliver community-based sessions to vulnerable adults. All activities have been provided at no cost to participants, ensuring accessibility. Any surplus is reinvested in expanding our support for vulnerable and aspiring artists.
