The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 January 2025

Principal activities of the company

The principal activities were engaged in include our music-making programmes and activities for the over-50's in the community, the elderly in retirement villages, families, children, people who have long-term health conditions and members of the community who struggle with mental health challenges.

Additional information

Towards the conclusion of the financial year, we intensified our internal revenue generating efforts which resulted in starting pilot runs of our community-focused public speaking and confidence-building courses. We are happy to report that the response was phenomenal and this will certainly reflect in next year's accounts and reports.

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Other accounting policies

    ACCOUNTING POLICIES The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below and have been consistently applied within the same accounts. Basis of Preparation The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain fixed assets. Presentation Currency The accounts are presented in £ sterling.

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, our music-making programmes and activities have helped people who have long-term health conditions and mental health challenges. Furthermore, we have been able to strengthen family bonds and relationships by making some of our programmes intergenerational, thereby allowing children, parents and grandparents to engage in our fun music-making activities together.

Consultation with stakeholders

The stakeholders we consulted with include members of the community, participants of our past community events and Yardley Neighbourhood Network Scheme. The consultations with these stakeholders offered guidance in formulating, organising and conducting our community projects and activities.
