During the year, Wood Chill CIC focused on preparing to deliver wellness and therapeutic facilities for the Caerphilly community. We progressed through the Community Asset Transfer process for land at Risca, carried out early planning steps, and began preparing for future groundworks. We also engaged with local groups, including mental health organisations, to shape the services we will provide. All activities have been directed towards creating accessible, affordable opportunities for wellbeing, social connection, and community benefit. No private benefit was taken and all funds were used for CIC purposes only.
We consulted with Caerphilly Borough Council, GAVO, and local community members. Their feedback showed a clear need for affordable wellness and therapeutic services. We responded by shaping our plans to provide flexible, accessible facilities for community use.
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
