Related party transactions Included in current assets are amounts due from related companies in which a director holds both a directorship and a shareholding, as follows: £139,000 (2024: £139,000) due from K P Properties (Yorkshire) Ltd £96,129 (2024: £96,029) due from K P Investments (Yorkshire) Ltd £20,450 (2024: £19,150) due from 20Twenty Investments Ltd During the previous year, the company wrote off a loan of £246,010 provided to K P Investments (Yorkshire) Ltd. After assessing the financial position of the borrower, the company determined that the loan was irrecoverable. As a result, the amount has been written off and recognised as a bad debt expense in the income statement. The directors confirm that appropriate consideration was given before granting and subsequently writing off the loan. The amount written off is not deductible for corporation tax purposes and has been added back in the company’s tax computation in accordance with HMRC rules.
For the year ending 31 May 2025 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.
Director's responsibilities:
- The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the year in question in accordance with section 476 ;
- The director acknowledges her responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of financial statements .
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the micro-entity provisions and have been delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.
