Principal activities of the company

FEM93 CIC is a Community Interest Company based in County Durham. Its principal activities are to create and deliver training, education, and employability opportunities in the film and television sector, both behind and in front of the camera. The company works with individuals of all ages and backgrounds particularly those from underrepresented or disadvantaged communitiesto develop creative and transferable skills that can lead to meaningful careers in the screen industries. Through partnerships with local organisations, production companies, and educational institutions, FEM93 CIC provides workshops, mentoring, and practical on-set experiences. The company also supports community filmmaking projects that give participants the opportunity to tell authentic local stories while gaining hands-on industry experience.

Company activities and impact

We have brought training in skills in media production, film making, script writing and acting to the people of the community for free. We have put on a theatre production involving local actors and invited press and the local community. This has helped with isolation, mental health and future growth for the film making community on the Region.
