Consultation with stakeholders

Throughout the last financial year, On The Verge has collaborated alongside: 1.Leeds City Council 2. Mayor Safer Community Fund 3. Oastler High School (Bradford Council) 4. Bradford Youth Service 5. West Leeds Activity Centre 6. North Yorkshire 7. Ravenshall School Through these collaboration On The Verge has been able to deliver over 50 group work session with 8-12 participants each session & over 2,496 individual have accessed our workshops made up of children, young people, professionals, parents & careers throughout Yorkshire. Some feedback which we have collated from these workshops are: “Marcus was absolutely inspirational. The children remembered his name from the previous week, and were excited that he was coming again to deliver another assembly. He was engaging and most definitely the most inspirational, thought-provoking visitor we have ever had in out school! The children gained so much from this session - you helped them to really understand the significance/importance of online safety, and the consequences of not using online platforma safely. Thank you!” “Please see feedback from the previous form. Tye exact same applies to this session! The Year 6 PSHE curriculum involves me teaching about anti-social behaviour/gangs, but the way that Marcus delivered his session, made this real and relevant. The children need to learn about this in this way! It is something that they will remember for a long time. Thank you so much! We would love to have you back!” “Very informative and perfect for our young children. Our Y5 have been asking, when ar you coming in again.” “I thought you hit the right tone. Made it engaging but didn’t leave them in any doubt on the messages.” “The content and delivery was excellent - adapted accordingly to the age groups and provided the students with a very clear message. Carl was extremely knowledgeable and provided examples that the young people could relate to as well as how people become involved in county lines. Thank you very much it is always much more effective when people other than school staff deliver education.” “Excellent session on Gangs delivered by On The Verge. Great delivery style capturing the attention of young people for the duration of the session . Young people commented just how much they enjoyed the conversations and said that they now realised how easily they could be caught up in gangs and grooming .” “I thought the session was really good and impactful; the students were really engaged. I would recommend spending more time putting the pressure on, once the students had been mock groomed, as this was really powerful (i.e. the kinds of things that a groomed student would be forced to do and struggles with being able to escapse/make to do things against their will).” “The facilitator was very open and honest about his lived experience. The students warmed to him and were very engaging” “Carl made this training session highly informative, but his delivery was approachable and made fun and entertaining. Excellent!” “Carl was great and the session was really interesting. Thank you” “A very informative session, with lots of debate and interesting insights into County Lines” On The Verge has used the feedback provide by collaboration to assure the workshops are beneficial to all participants involved, being young people, professional, parents and careers. We are also in the process of engaging in more work within the community alongside the current impact within education settings.
