This was the initial financial year for the company, following its incorporation just over a year ago. During this period, the directors were primarily focused on establishing its objectives, planning future activities and building relationships with stakeholders. Our website has been launched, and even with very minimal publicity, we have had a number of individuals become members of the organisation as well as securing our first corporate supporter in Urban Splash, who will assist us by giving access to their archives and personnel as well as supporting us with publicity through their social and professional channels. We have also engaged with other organisations who may be able to assist us as well as individuals who have played some part in the development of the Park Hill Estate or lived on the estate in the past with a view to capturing their stories through oral histories and/or the digitisation of relevant artefacts. We have published our first publication, a map providing a self-guided walk around the public areas of the Park Hill Estate along with a short history and other information. Additional publications are in development and will be released in the future.
Our stakeholders include members of the public with an interest and affection for Park Hill, the urban environment and brutalist architecture. Our members fall into this category, and we have consulted with them on ideas for our future activities. Our stakeholders also include professionals working in architecture, housing, construction, property development and associated disciplines. We consulted with a number of architects, property developers and planners as well as local councillors and others at the Stirling Prize celebration event where we were able to share details of our plans and gauge their interest in supporting our activities.
No remuneration was received
