The company has run short groups both in person and online for those who are dealing with loss and grief. Groups have been inclusive , ensuring that nobody was excluded on the basis of health, age, ability to pay, or any other discriminatory reason. Through the groups we sought to alleviate isolation and anxiety and provide a safe space for participants to share honestly. It was also important to offer people resources which they could use after the groups were complete. The feedback has been that face to face time, skills and connections with made with others, have all been very valuable.
Stakeholders: All clients were asked for feedback about their experience and any future offerings they would like. Feedback has been affirming that what has already been offered has been very much appreciated and there have been several requests for more face to face groups. This is dependent on finding funds, in order to make the groups accessible. We have been in consultation with other facilitators in the area to discuss ways in which we might collaborate for face to face work and thereby increase the number of people we can reach. These include a potter, a death doula, a forest bathing therapist, a communications facilitator, a nature art facilitator and a funeral director.
