Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 March 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

Company activities and impact

To the residents of Sunderland without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents. To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by working with people in Sunderland who are socially excluded on the grounds of their ethnic origin, religion, belief or creed (in particular, members of the Arab community)

Consultation with stakeholders

The company's stakeholders are individual citizens, community and voluntary groups and organisations, schools, as well as public and private sector organisations. There are also a number of working groups on specific areas relating to the company's work programme and priorities. They have been consulted via email, online meetings and in-person events and through social media channels. Their feedback has informed the type of activity that the company has been developing and implementing. The organisations and groups of stakeholders represented on the Board of the company by individual Directors have been consulted in more detail via the process of quarterly Board meetings, through Board task and finish groups, by email and through online meetings in between Board meetings. These stakeholders have steered the company's direction
