    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible assets are included at cost less depreciation and impairment. Depreciation has been provided at the following rates in order to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives: Fixtures & fittings 15% reducing balance.

Company activities and impact

Parallel Lives Programme is an all-encompassing, early intervention, holistic, grassroots initiative, supporting parents (men and women) and their families experiencing domestic abuse, parental alienation and/parental conflict during their relationship or post separation. We are particularly suitable for those working with statutory Services. From January 2024- January 2025, Parallel Lives provided the following free to clients: 104 Men’s in person weekly support groups in Luton, Watford and later Bedford, for 2 hours each session. 150 weekly support groups in 17-week Virtual tailored programmes for men and women’s separately, for 2 hours each session. 131 in person/virtual 1:1 programmes and support to address barriers to non-attendance - delivered in 10 languages for 2 hours each session 110 counselling sessions for parents 66 therapeutic support sessions for children of parents completing the Building Bridges programme. Support in court and support with legal documents Helpline and client support outside of programmes 9am-5.30pm 5 days a week We provide Individual male/female workers specialising in the following: Substance misuse / gambling/ sex addictions Mediation/negotiation McKenzie friend service Legal support/ court reports Partner support Domestic Abuse support and advice IDVA Therapeutic support Mediation Bespoke work University Lecturing Psychology Outcomes: 253 referrals from Local Authority, Family Court, CAFCASS, self-referrals, schools, outreach services, Probation, NHS, housing and CAMHS 770 hours of in-person and virtual sessions to adults 3 parents supported with a move to refuge – with continued support 11 children supported in schools, as victims of domestic abuse 110 hours of counselling for adults 73% engagement rate across our programmes 83% engagement rate with men across our programmes

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s directors continue to develop the service directly from feedback from clients and professionals. All clients are invited to complete written and verbal feedback each session. Our research has enabled us to identify the need for whole family provision, where domestic abuse, parental alienation and/or parental conflict is continued post separation. This has allowed us to build a programme based on client expectations and lived experience.

Directors' remuneration

The directors have received the remuneration and it is included in the account as wages and salaries. There were no transactions or arrangements in connection with the compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed
