COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

VIRTUE LEARNING HUB SOLUTIONS CIC

Company Number: 15522120 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 28 February 2025

Company activities and impact

During this financial year, Virtue Learning Hub Solutions CIC has continued to deliver its mission of empowering women and individuals facing barriers to education, employment, and personal development. The company has provided accessible learning, mentoring, and creative development opportunities for women from diverse backgrounds, including single parents, those returning to work, individuals with disabilities, and those affected by financial hardship or domestic challenges. Through the provision of short courses, vocational training, and creative workshops, participants were supported to build confidence, gain employability skills, and re-engage with learning in a supportive and inclusive environment. Activities included online and in-person workshops in areas such as teaching support, early years education, mental health awareness, and creative digital expression. The inclusion of mentoring sessions allowed participants to receive one-to-one guidance from experienced tutors and practitioners, many of whom shared lived experiences that resonated deeply with learners. The impact of these activities was significant. Many participants reported improvements in self-esteem, communication skills, and readiness for work or further study. The community benefitted from collaborative partnerships formed with local centres and training providers, allowing for wider outreach and accessibility. The annual showcase and celebration event, held in late 2024, provided participants with the opportunity to present their achievements and creative work to their peers and community members, helping to build social connection, confidence, and community pride. All activities have been delivered in line with our CIC purpose of reinvesting resources into expanding access, enhancing course delivery, and promoting social inclusion.

Consultation with stakeholders

Virtue Learning Hub Solutions CIC has actively consulted with its key stakeholders throughout the financial year to ensure that our programmes and delivery methods continue to meet the evolving needs of the community we serve. Our primary stakeholders include current and prospective learners, tutors and assessors, partner organisations, local community centres, and funding bodies. Consultation has taken place through regular feedback forms, online surveys, focus group discussions, and informal review meetings. Learner voice has been central to our decision-making process, with participants encouraged to share their experiences and suggestions after each workshop or course. Feedback from stakeholders has influenced several positive changes during the year. For example, based on learner feedback about accessibility and confidence with technology, we developed additional digital literacy support sessions to help participants navigate online learning platforms more effectively. We also adapted the delivery format of some vocational courses to include evening and weekend sessions to accommodate those with childcare or work commitments. Tutors and partner organisations were also consulted through standardisation and reflective practice meetings, which helped strengthen our quality assurance processes and ensure consistency in learner support. This collaborative approach has reinforced our commitment to continuous improvement, transparency, and community empowerment.
