During the year ending 31st Jan 2025 The Ark Centre CIC provided: - In centre therapy for 11 children between the age of 2-6yrs with autism or social communication disorders. Each child received 15 hours of Behaviour Therapy, 1 hour of direct Speech and Language Therapy and 1 hour of direct Occupational Therapy per week for 51 weeks of the year. This year we had our biggest turn over of children at one time with 9/11 going to school, with a new intake of 9 children. - Parent of the centre clients have all been provided with 3 hours a month of training either in their clinic or their home. - An additional 3 children attended for between 6 & 15 hours per week of behaviour therapy to support their school placements. - Outreach consultancy for 6 children between the age of 2-8yrs old with autism or social communication disorders in their school or home. On average these children receive 3 hours bi-weekly of consultancy. - The Ark Centre CIC has continued to provide play therapy from our BAPT registered Play Therapist for 12 clients age 4-14 years old and play therapy training for 2 local set-tings. - Training and support has been provided for a variety of local mainstream and special educational settings on how best to support their children to communicate and engage in their setting to the best of their ability. - Training for other local professionals and internal staff. - Provided telephone advice for parents, signposting them to other local services when our service is not appropriate. - Support for all of our staff to achieve their Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) qualification or to begin to work towards this.
The stakeholders of the Ark Centre CIC are the parents and therapists. We provide daily handovers and online session notes and photos for each client. Each client is provided with monthly meetings with parents to discuss their child’s progress and their aspirations. We also hold regular meetings with parent groups to get feedback on the services provided and send out anonymous questionnaires. We reach out to local settings to offer training and support and invite them to attend sessions in our setting. We hold weekly meetings with the whole team to provide further training, updates on the childrens programmes and to encourage the team to give their opinions on how we can better the workplace for the staff and service for the clients. We hold regular performance reviews with staff to ensure they are performing to the standard we require and to ensure they are happy with the Ark Centre CIC.
Director's remuneration was £44,053. There were no other transactions in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director's loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
