|
Sessions provided Alternative Provision for those students who were unable to attend mainstream Education. The work focused primarily on enabling students to cope with their mental health and encouraging them to take steps to re-integrate themselves into more supportive learning environments in order to reach their chosen goals. Facilitators worked closely with carers and parents to ensure there was a collegiate support network around the child. This person-centered focus has always been the main crux of our approach and will continue to be the model of any work undertaken within the Wrongs CiC.
We have held regular meetings with the funders of the service, both private individuals and the Local Education Authority to discuss progress and outcomes. Upon referrals received, discussions were held by both schools and parents to set expectations and target outcomes. We have also carried weekly reviews among the facilitators to ensure that these outcomes and expectations were achievable.
