In the past financial year, Think Outside The Blox CIC has continued to deliver community-driven programmes designed to empower young people, support families, and strengthen community cohesion in Hackney and the wider East London area. Our work has focused on three main strands: education, creativity, and wellbeing. We have delivered regular workshops in schools and community spaces, providing young people with access to mentoring, personal development opportunities, and creative outlets that encourage problem-solving, teamwork, and self-confidence. We also ran community events and collaborative projects that brought local residents together, creating a safe and inclusive environment for learning and connection. Alongside this, we partnered with Hackney Wick FC and other grassroots organisations to offer positive pathways through sport, promoting healthy lifestyles, resilience, and belonging. Our impact this year has included engaging over 1000 young people directly, providing hours of community workshops and mentoring, and creating opportunities for participants to showcase their talents and skills. Feedback has shown increased confidence, improved aspirations, and stronger community ties as a result of our work.
Our stakeholders include local young people, parents and carers, schools, grassroots community organisations, funders, and local authorities. We consult stakeholders regularly through surveys, informal feedback at workshops and events, and structured conversations with partner organisations. In response to this feedback, we adapted our programmes to include more wellbeing-focused sessions, introduced additional mentoring support for young people at risk of exclusion, and increased opportunities for parents to engage in family activities. These changes ensured that our work remained responsive to community needs and maximised its positive impact.
