Company activities and impact

Decadent Times CIC provides expertise managing events and providing specialist expertise and equipment to enhance community events and public engagement initiatives, subsidised by commercial income streams. Alongside these charitable activities the commercial arm works with commercial/corporate/private individuals and organisations with the hire of equipment, professional services including theming/decor. The profits from these commercial activities bolster the companies income which is then passed onto supporting charitable community public engagement initiatives. During the financial year 2024-2025, Decadent Times CIC’s activities have benefited the community in the following ways: - Aided Cowley Road Carnival in their event management preparation and new trustee drive for the next event. - Promoted local grass root acts. - Developed new music groups and scene building with emerging talent to build their audience, and develop artists. - Delivered multiple community offerings with the use of silent disco silent disco headsets to various public functions and private parties. - Hire of professional performers to public events including Glastonbury Festival preparation for a Decadent Times CIC stage takeover of the Greenfield opening Wednesday stage in summer of 2024. Aided performers for Scissors the new Fem-queer venue at Glastonbury Festival. - Event Production and Management with professional sound engineers, equipment, Project Management/Event Planning for public engagement enabled events for charitable organisations. - Private parties for high net worth individuals (vetted so as not to be in conflict with Decadent Times CIC’s core community and environmental principles), various Oxford University Colleges and Museums.

Consultation with stakeholders

Advisory Group Member of Causing A Scene (Oxford). Oxford Music Community Action Group – action with provision of expert knowledge in local campaigns to save community venues and search for a new grass roots music venue. InspireSounds – artistic liaison and partnering on project, excellent breakthroughs with young artists and community engagement. Cowley Road Carnival via Cowley Road Works. Oxford University – partnership support for public engagement across the university colleges and departments and museums.
