Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 January 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

Company activities and impact

Hurtwood Events executed the 2nd Hurtwood Enduro mountain bike race at Coverwood Farm. The event was supported by local business and the general community. It has improved the visibility of sustainable mountain biking event, and has bought the local community and the mountain biking community closer together. The event generated revenue to local catering businesses, the local farm, as well as some locals who worked organising the event. Hurtwood Events has now also taken on the running of the accommodation at the Hurtwood Hideout, which was formally a youth hostel owned and run by the YHA. The operation supplies hostel type accommodation and camping, as well as catering for the groups staying. This business has led to further jobs for local people and increases business in the local area.
