Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 January 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

The members have agreed to the preparation of abridged accounts for this accounting period in accordance with Section 444(2A).

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen to not file a copy of the company’s profit & loss account.

1. Accounting policies

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

Turnover policy

Revenue recognition: Turnover comprises the invoiced value of goods and services supplied by the company, net of Value Added Tax and trade discounts.

Tangible fixed assets and depreciation policy

Property, plant and equipment: Tangible fixed assets, other than freehold land, are stated at cost or valuation less depreciation and any provision for impairment. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost or valuation of fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following basis: Land and buildings 2% per annum on cost Plant and machinery 25% reducing balance Computer equipment 33.3% per annum on cost Motor vehicles 25% reducing balance Fixture and fittings 20% reducing balance

Other accounting policies

Deferred tax: Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the statement of financial position date. Hire purchase and leasing commitments: Rentals paid under operating leases are charges to profit or loss on a straightline basis over the period of the lease. Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits: The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme for the benefit of its directors/and employees. Contributions payable are charges to the profit and loss account in the period in which they are payable.
