During the financial year, GoGrowWithLove C.I.C. advanced its mission to promote diversity in agriculture, support women-led environmental initiatives, and strengthen community resilience across London and the UK. The company delivered three accredited eight-week courses to over 50 participants, sponsored participant accreditation, and trained three women as Level 1 assistants, contributing to skills development and employment opportunities in sustainable food growing. GoGrowWithLove C.I.C. delivered 37 food-growing sessions in schools, promoting early engagement and encouraging children to develop skills in food growing, wellbeing and sustainability. In partnership with Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH), the company implemented the Grow Back Greener Project, delivering over 40 community sessions on food growing, wellbeing and environmental awareness at Sky City Estate, reaching more than 200 residents. Collaborations with organisations including the Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH), Oxford Real Farming Conference (ORFC), Animate Earth, Farming The Future, Royal Agricultural University, Living Under One Sun (LUOS), Friends of Lordship Rec, Museum of the Home, Gaia Foundation, Material Cultures, Shared Assets, Land Workers Alliance, Wolves Lane Centre, Organiclea, Medicine Festival and the Black Farmers Market supported wider engagement on land justice, food sovereignty and environmental education. Additional initiatives included a 10-week Women and Girls Food Growing Programme at LUOS Allotment, participation in the Medicine Festival and community programmes and projects at Lordship Hub and Falcon Fields Allotment. The company also created three seasonal employment opportunities to support programme delivery and women-led organisational growth. Through its projects and partnerships, GoGrowWithLove C.I.C. has continued to demonstrate measurable impact in improving community wellbeing, advancing equitable access to green spaces, building capacity and promoting environmental responsibility across its areas of operation.
During the financial year, GoGrowWithLove C.I.C. (GGWL) actively engaged with a broad range of stakeholders, including local communities, women and families, schools, allotment groups and partner organisations. Key partners included Gaia Foundation, Friends Lordship Hub, Wolves Lane Horticultural Centre, LUOS, Capital Growth, Landworkers’ Alliance and Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing Trust (MTVH). Engagement took place through regular consultation meetings, community events, training workshops and collaborative project planning sessions. Feedback from stakeholders has directly informed the design and delivery of GGWL’s community programmes. In response to requests for increased access to sustainable food growing and wellbeing initiatives, GGWL expanded its outreach to include more school-based and estate-based activities, enhancing opportunities for intergenerational learning and community resilience. One core outcome of these consultations was the development of the Women Leading with the Land and Soils/Stars Loveland Project in Falcon Fields Allotment, North London. This initiative trains African-Caribbean heritage women in land cultivation and food growing, transforming previously underused allotments into thriving edible gardens. Produce from these gardens is shared with project participants, local families, schools and community centres, supporting food security and environmental education.
