Company activities and impact

During 2024, Muslim Women Connect delivered a powerful and wide-ranging programme of activities designed to empower Muslim women across the UK to overcome personal and structural barriers to career success and fulfilment. Through mentoring, leadership, community events and personal development opportunities, we created spaces for connection, growth and belonging. Over the year, we ran 31 events including skill-building workshops, confidence sessions, hikes and networking gatherings - reaching a total of 752 women. These spaces fostered confidence, sisterhood and professional growth, offering women the opportunity to expand their networks and gain valuable career and life skills. Our flagship mentoring programme continued to thrive, with two cohorts running across the year and engaging a total of 146 mentees and mentors. Together, they benefited from tailored training, structured guidance and one-to-one support, with 73 mentees graduating successfully from the programme. Many participants reported improved confidence, stronger professional clarity and new opportunities in their careers. In 2024, we also launched the Roots Fellowship, welcoming 24 emerging leaders from diverse sectors. This pioneering initiative builds leadership capacity and supports Muslim women to step into positions of influence while grounding their leadership in purpose and spirituality. Alongside these initiatives, we delivered 9 masterclasses on themes such as leadership, wellbeing, confidence and career development - equipping participants with tools to thrive both professionally and personally. Together, these activities have strengthened our growing community and deepened our collective impact. Muslim Women Connect continues to create meaningful spaces for Muslim women to connect, grow and lead - challenging stereotypes, building networks of empowerment and contributing to a more inclusive working world.
