City Sprouts CIC have provided free or affordable food growing sessions for primary school aged children in South London, enabling them to foster a connection with the land, healthy foods and the local ecosystem. The children have transformed their own allotment plot into a thriving space, abundant in food crops, pollinator friendly flowers and wildlife habitats. We have facilitated an adult urban food growing workshop and supported Duke of Edinburgh volunteers working on a food growing project with planning of their space and the provision of seeds. This year we have also visited a local primary school to discuss food growing with their year two pupils.
