In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. During the financial year ending 28th February 2025, EmpowerHer Lancashire organised and delivered two free Women’s Health Events in April 2024 and July 2024. Together the events brought together over 40 exhibitors, speakers, and workshop facilitators, offering a wide range of health, wellbeing, and support services. Together, the events attracted more than 400 attendees, all able to participate free of charge. The July 2024 event specifically focused on engaging marginalised communities who often face barriers to accessing health information and professional support. Through targeted outreach and inclusive programming, we successfully reached women who would not normally engage with health professionals, promoting greater awareness, empowerment, and access to vital health services. In addition, EmpowerHer Lancashire held a fundraising comedy night during the year to help generate income to improve future events in 2025, including the possibility of engaging paid speakers and securing an enhanced venue to improve accessibility and overall attendee experience. These activities have contributed significantly to improving community health awareness, reducing inequalities, and building confidence among women across Lancashire.
EmpowerHer Lancashire actively engages with women in the local community to ensure our activities continue to meet their needs and deliver meaningful impact. Our primary stakeholders are the women who attend our events, as well as community leaders, health professionals, and partner organisations who collaborate with us to promote health and wellbeing. Feedback from events held prior to our CIC incorporation highlighted how valuable and empowering participants found our women’s health initiatives. Building on this, after the April 2024 Women’s Health Event, we gathered online feedback from attendees to assess impact and identify future needs. The results demonstrated strong community appreciation and a desire for more targeted engagement. As a direct result, for the July 2024 event, community leaders approached us to collaborate in delivering tailored health activities for their communities. This consultation process ensures that our programmes remain responsive, inclusive, and community-led, reflecting the voices and priorities of the women we serve.
