The company provides high quality classical concerts and educational events to residents of Wealden. Our emphasis is on localism, sustainability and accessibility, providing employment to local professional musicians and reducing the distances which audience members must travel to access concerts. The financial year 2024- 2025 was the third year of the company’s operation. During this period the company: - Promoted 15 musical events in the area (13 concerts and 2 talks), using local professional musicians. - Increased the variety of our offer and the number and range of venues. - Publicised our concerts in print and via social media and local radio stations - Continued to promote and expand our membership scheme - Planned a series of events for the following season - Continued to update and revise our website The company provides community benefit by: - Offering a varied programme of music to local residents. - Offering free tickets to under 18s - Supporting local venues - Providing employment for local musicians and other professionals (eg. IT specialists, graphic designer)
Our external stakeholders consist of the audiences who attend our concerts. We have continued to encourage our audiences to give us verbal feedback and to let us know their views via our website. In response to their comments, we have expanded the range and variety of the concerts which we present and the range of venues which we us across the area.
The aggregate amount of emoluments paid to or receivable by directors was £450 in respect of services they provided as professional freelance musicians.
