COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

EVERY 3 SECONDS CIC

Company Number: 14816593 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 April 2025

Company activities and impact

During this year, Every 3 Seconds CIC has focused on supporting women who have experienced abuse and violence in their relationships. Through the development of the Oasis of Strength programme, we have created a safe and empowering space both in the community and online where women can access support, share experiences, and begin to rebuild their confidence. The programme has provided women with practical tools to strengthen their mental health and wellbeing, helping them to manage stress, develop resilience, and take positive steps forward in their lives. By combining group support, community engagement, and accessible online resources, we have been able to reach women in different circumstances and reduce barriers to accessing help. The impact of this work has been positive: participants report feeling less isolated, more supported, and better equipped to cope with the challenges they face. Through our programme, we have begun to foster a sense of community, hope, and empowerment for women who are rebuilding their lives after abuse.

Consultation with stakeholders

The primary stakeholders of Every 3 Seconds CIC are the women participating in the Oasis of Strength programme, alongside partner organisations, community supporters, and funders. To ensure that the programme remains responsive to the needs of the women we serve, we have carried out pre- and post-programme questionnaires to measure impact and gather honest feedback. This process has enabled us to understand participants’ starting points, track the changes in their wellbeing, and assess how effective the tools and support provided have been. We have also listened carefully to what participants have shared during sessions, both in the community and online. Where feedback has highlighted areas for improvement, we have made adjustments such as adapting the delivery style, adding more focus on mental health wellbeing tools, such as the health and Wellbeing programme we ran, and ensuring flexibility in how women can access support. Oasis of Strength programme is not rigid or one-size-fits-all. Instead, it adapts to different women’s circumstances so they can engage in ways that feel safe, practical, and accessible for them.
