Help Our Town Dover CIC is a community support organisation, that aims to support individuals and small local community organisations and CICs. This year we have set up a referral scheme with the local council, food bank, Citizen's Advice Bureau and a women's refuge where we help those referred with the provision of new small kitchen appliances, housewares, clothing and bedding/personal items funded by the local council; there has been a reasonable take up of this scheme. We have supported a number of local initiatives including funding free skateboard lessons for locals and six months provision of football coaching for three young locals from low income households. Finally we do an Easter egg and Christmas card/gift give away to local people.
Help Our Town Dover CIC uses social media to reach out to as well as face to face meetings with local residents to understand their support needs & how successful our services/assistance is. We also use these methods to identify additional support we can provide as well as local organisations we can partner with to support our community.
Two of our directors, Jason Gilbert and and Rebekah Sausset, are employed by Help Our Town Dover CIC and receive a monthly salary. The total amount payable to the directors in respect of qualifying services was £17,355.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
