During the reporting period, Free2Play CIC delivered three community-focused projects aimed at reducing isolation, improving wellbeing, and promoting digital inclusion. Santa’s Gaming Workshops in Thanet ran eight sessions engaging 48 participants (32 aged over 55, 16 with disabilities), with all devices donated to participants or community partners, resulting in increased digital confidence (68%) and stronger social connections (72%). Thanet Boost delivered ten workshops to 108 participants, donating twelve devices and training five local intermediaries, with 70% of participants reporting improved access to online services and 65% experiencing reduced isolation. The Couch to 5k Digital Programme in Nottingham engaged 34 participants, of whom 25 completed the programme, logging a total of 560km and improving confidence in using health and fitness apps (82%). Across all projects, 190 participants were engaged, with measurable improvements in digital skills and community connectedness, delivered in partnership with local community centres, care homes,
During the reporting period, Free2Play CIC engaged with stakeholders to ensure that its activities met local community needs and maximised benefit. Stakeholders included local residents, project participants, and partner organisations such as Riverside House in Ramsgate, The Garden Project, Places for People, and Social Enterprise Kent. Feedback from these stakeholders informed the planning and delivery of workshops, including scheduling, venue accessibility, and provision of equipment, and supported sustainability by helping to maintain ongoing digital inclusion activities beyond the completion of each project.
