Company activities and impact

Moving Mountains Empowerment Group CIC exists to promote the wellbeing, empowerment, and social inclusion of women through creative, holistic, and community-based activities. The organization provides accessible, non-judgmental spaces where women can connect, express themselves, and support one another, with a particular focus on women in the peri-natal period (pregnancy and early motherhood). Our activities include community singing circles, retreat days, and wellbeing work-shops designed to enhance emotional resilience, reduce social isolation, and improve mental health through shared creative experiences. All sessions are inclusive and welcoming, regardless of singing experience or ability, ensuring participation is accessible to all women. Use of National Lottery Community Fund Grant During the accounting period, Moving Mountains Empowerment Group CIC received a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund, which was applied entirely for charitable community purposes in alignment with our social objectives. The funding supported: - Delivery of Singing Circles for Women’s Wellbeing – a program of facilitated group singing sessions where women (including mothers, expectant mothers, and those with babies/preschoolers) met weekly to sing uplifting songs from around the world, fostering connection, emotional expression, and peer support. - Facilitator Fees and Venue Hire – ensuring professional delivery, accessibility, and a safe, welcoming space for all participants. - Volunteer and Participant Support – covering refreshments, travel expenses, and materials to enable participation regardless of financial circumstance. - Wellbeing Retreat Days and Creative Workshops – offering holistic wellbeing activities such as mindfulness, gentle movement, and creative reflection sessions that further promoted mental health and social inclusion. - Community Celebration Event – bringing together participants to recognize achievements, share experiences, and celebrate community cohesion through music and storytelling. All expenditure was consistent with the CIC’s community benefit objectives and accounted for in accordance with our social purpose and grant conditions.
