During the year, Highcliffe Food & Arts Festival CIC continued to deliver its core purpose of organising a free, family-friendly community festival in Highcliffe, Christchurch. The event brought together local food producers, artisan makers, artists, musicians and community groups across the High Street and Recreation Ground. The Festival supports local businesses by providing trading opportunities for small food and craft producers and attracts visitors that boost the local economy. It also strengthens community spirit through volunteer involvement, live entertainment, workshops, and children’s activities that are open to everyone. By remaining free and accessible, the Festival ensures that people of all ages and backgrounds can take part, promoting inclusion, creativity and pride in the local area while enhancing Highcliffe’s profile as a vibrant coastal community.
The company’s main stakeholders are local residents, businesses, stallholders, artists, community groups, volunteers and visitors. Consultation takes place throughout the year via meetings with local councils and community representatives, feedback from traders and visitors after the Festival, and regular engagement through social media and email. Feedback received has led to improved event layout, clearer signage, more family activities, and a stronger focus on accessibility and sustainability. The Festival also works closely with local authorities and emergency services to ensure community safety and minimal disruption.
