In this financial year, EcoDewi has carried out a range of environmental and sustainability projects across the St Davids Peninsula, in collaboration with local residents, other organisations, local businesses and local authorities. These projects have all been of benefit to our local community in terms of those who live and work on the Peninsula and those who visit the area, as well as for the benefit of the local natural environment. Projects have included, but are not limited to: the Peninsula Food Market, connecting local food producers with local customers to improve local food resilience; green space improvement projects working with local landowners and local authorities; leading a community garden space in St Davids; nature recovery projects with local volunteers; and organising a range of community events including with the local schools. Not only have these projects benefited the community through improving their local environment, they have allowed for the sharing of new skills and knowledge, as well as improving the overall wellbeing of local residents.
EcoDewi has a range of stakeholders from its directors to its supporters and volunteers, to local authorities and organisations including local schools and businesses, to the wider residents of the St Davids Peninsula. The directors consult at least once a quarter whether for a formal directors meeting or project update meetings. EcoDewi then liaises with other groups and local authorities through either stakeholder meetings or email communication. In addition, for our volunteers and supporters we also have a series of community events where we actively invite input and ideas into our work, share progress and directly engage with the community. These are advertised publicly for anyone to attend. We also encourage supporters to give feedback to us through our newsletters and social media communications.
