During this financial year, Mango Studios LDN CIC has continued to use creative media as a tool for empowerment, education and community development. We provided free access to our podcast and photography studios for young people and local creatives, enabling over 60 emerging artists, students and entrepreneurs to produce professional quality content they would not otherwise afford. Through the Mango Studios LDN Academy, we delivered creative skills training and work placements for learners aged 16–24 in partnership with local schools, PRUs and the Islington Council Virtual School. These placements helped young people build confidence, digital literacy and employability skills, with several progressing into paid creative work or further education. Our Content Creation Days offered free professional photoshoots and portfolio building support to over 30 community members, supporting career growth and self-promotion. Beyond our studio programmes, we actively collaborated with community organisations to produce podcasts and films highlighting local stories of resilience and entrepreneurship, giving underrepresented voices a platform. Overall, our activities have strengthened creative opportunity and community cohesion across Islington and surrounding boroughs, providing both practical skills and a sense of belonging for young people and creatives.
Yes. We regularly consult with our stakeholders including young people, local partners, parents, schools and local authority representatives through surveys, feedback sessions and debrief meetings. Their input directly shapes our programme design, delivery style and pricing structure. For example, feedback from Islington Council and student participants informed improvements to our Creative Skills Bootcamp model and the expansion of our free Content Creation Days. This ongoing consultation ensures our activities remain relevant, inclusive and beneficial to the communities we serve.
