Company activities and impact

Reviving Links CIC was set up in February 2024 to create space for community members to build connections in their wider community and for second generations from migrant backgrounds to reconnect with their heritage. Since registering, we have delivered several activities and projects designed to promote intergenerational connection, community wellbeing, and local engagement. Our key activities have included: Running a funded project focused on intergenerational connection and heritage learning, engaging families and primary school-aged children in shared learning and creative activities. Establishing coffee mornings for isolated and older residents, providing opportunities for social connection and mutual support. Hosting community information sessions on health and wellbeing, offering guidance on local services, healthy lifestyles, and mental health awareness. Supporting volunteers to develop practical skills in event management, community organising, and marketing, enhancing employability and confidence. Creating partnerships with local businesses and community organisations to strengthen networks, share resources, and deliver joint community initiatives. The community has benefited from our activities through increased social inclusion, improved wellbeing, and stronger local connections. Families and children have gained new learning opportunities about heritage and culture. Isolated individuals have developed new friendships and support networks; and volunteers have gained valuable experience and skills. Local partnerships have enhanced collaboration and resource-sharing across the sector bringing members of the community in contact with spaces which they would otherwise not engage with.

Consultation with stakeholders

We have regularly engaged with community members, volunteers, and partner organisations to ensure our activities meet local needs. Feedback was gathered through informal discussions, questionnaires at events, and volunteer meetings. This feedback has helped shape our projects and identify areas for future development as well as widening our service offer area to neighbouring boroughs.
