Company activities and impact

Thrive Inside continues to find ways to offer the trauma sensitive practice to people in addiction recovery and those who have been incarcerated and caught up in the criminal justice system. We have been unable to secure firm contracts with local prisons, so we are looking at offering the courses free of charge. We need more staff to do so and need to raise some funds, to cover this training programme we have developed to train up ex-offenders to be able to deliver the practices. This would be both privately, so they can earn an income and free within the community to ex-offenders and those in addiction recovery who are unemployed. We are waiting for more information and answers from a prison coaching charity to see if we can work with them in some capacity and run some groups in HMP Wormwood scrubs with them. We have been focused on supporting men we previously worked with in custody to offer them support in the community. Free one-to-one support sessions are being offered to men who have been in prison as well as online courses and in-person men’s workshops where free spaces are offered to those in need who want to attend. Subsidised workshop places and sessions are now being offered for people in addiction recovery who have not got the money to attend. The two Thrive Inside books have been revised and are now available on Amazon to help generate funds and interest for the programme. Free sample tracks are available worldwide on a meditation App called Insight Timer to help increase interest and visibility of the programme and the 28-hour, 2 part 8- week / session course that is available on-line as a way to generate funds to support the programme
