COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

Year Ending: 31 March 2025

Company activities and impact

FGRC PROJECT97 CIC is an independent community project based in the Meadows area, serving both local residents and the wider Nottingham community. Our work focuses on promoting interfaith and interethnic understanding through community training, engagement, and support activities. The aim is to strengthen community cohesion and highlight the importance of togetherness and mutual support. Festive Season Community Event Our main event this year took place over the festive season, in collaboration with the the Full Gospel Revival Centre & St Faith Church. The gathering was held at our Nottingham branch, which serves as our regular meeting space. The event was designed to support older people, including those experiencing loneliness, bereavement, or mental health challenges. Attendees enjoyed a shared meal and refreshments, and had the opportunity to socialise, seek advice, and learn more about the services we provide. The warm and inclusive atmosphere encouraged open conversation and connection among participants from diverse backgrounds. Impact and Community Awareness Although we were not able to reach a large number of participants this year, the event successfully raised awareness of our project and the range of support available, including counselling services and a safe, welcoming space for community members to meet and connect. The event reaffirmed the importance of our ongoing work in fostering community spirit and offering practical and emotional support to those living in and around the Meadows area.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our key stakeholders are residents and visitors from the Meadows area and its surrounding communities. We engaged with members of the local community to discuss and agree on the venue, date, and time for the event. The consultation process was positive, and the event proceeded smoothly with no further actions required.
